www.archive.org/details/nc351_xtreme_web
Some users see the web as a challenge and want to stretch the limits of what the internet can do. This program looks at several examples. Topics covered include the @Home network, fonecam.com, thetech.org, nasa.gov, mars.jpl.nasa.gov, sdss.org, the Hubble space telescope, and usgs.gov. Demonstrations include the wearable computer and online research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and floods. Hosts are Rebecca Eisenberg, Andrew deVries, and Stewart Cheifet. Guest analyst is writer Larry Magid. Shot on location at the Club I cybercafe in San Francisco. Originally broadcast in 1999.
